All shows will take place at Laurel High School,
8000 Cherry Lane, Laurel, MD
Recreational classes - Sunday May 18th
3 - 7 year old classes - 12:30pm (link for show order)
8 - 18 year old classes - 3:30pm (link for show order)
Company and Crew - Friday June 13th - 6:00pm

Dancers arrive 30 minutes before show.
Doors open 30 minutes before show for general seating.
DRESS REHEARSALS FOR
RECREATIONAL CLASSES
Recreational class dress rehearsals will be held at Laurel High School on the evenings of Wednesday April 30th from 6-9pm for 8-18 year old classes and Monday May 12th for 3-7 year old classes from 5-8pm. The dress rehearsal schedule is posted below..
Dress rehearsals are MANDATORY for all students! Please let your student's teacher or a studio manager know if your dancer cannot attend their rehearsal. NOTE: Dress Rehearsal is closed so dancers only in the auditorium please. Only parents of Creative Movement and Lil' Movers classes may sit in the auditorium with their child.
Dancers must arrive 15 minutes before their rehearsal time in costume and may leave when their dance is finished.
TICKET SALES AND PROCEDURE
Tickets go on sale May 5th according to the schedule below. Each dancer receives two (2) complimentary tickets; parents must sign for tickets at the time of pickup.
May 5: Pick up complimentary tickets, and purchase up to 4 additional tickets
May 12: Purchase unlimited additional tickets
Please Note: All fees must be paid in full before tickets can be purchased. Tickets are NOT available for sale through email or over the phone; all purchases must be made in person at the studio, or during dress rehearsal at Laurel High School.
Ticket Pricing:
$25 adults
$15 seniors ages 65 and older
$15 children ages 4-10
$10 enrolled sibling (if you have 2 or more dancers performing in different shows)
Free for ages 3 & under on a parent's lap
RECITAL COSTUMES
Please review the costume for your child's class in the parent portal by clicking the "COSTUMES" button on the left side. Shoes, tights, and accessory information is available below.
Be sure to mark your dancer's name in their costume before recital day . Dancers must arrive at Laurel High School 30 minutes before recital time dressed in their costume, with hair and makeup complete. All dancers will remain backstage until the final bow.
PICTURE WEEK
Group and individual pictures will be taken at the studio May 5 - 7 for recreational and Crew classes. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday classes have pictures on their regular day; Thursday classes have pictures on Monday May 5 or Wednesday May 7. Click below for dates and times.
RECITAL PROGRAM
Our program is digital. When finalized, we will provide links below to view the programs. Scannable QR codes will also be available at the auditorium for each show.
Personal ads in our recital program are a great way to recognize your special dancer, B. Funk instructor, or staff member! We also offer business ads to get the word out about local companies and services. Pricing is as follows:
Personal ad with text only - $5
Personal ad with text and photo - $10
Business ad - $30
Ads must first be paid for by logging in to the parent portal and purchasing the ad in our online store by going to SHOP at the top of the page. Then please email the text of what you would like your ad to say along with your photo (if applicable) to info@bfunk.com. The deadline for purchasing ads has passed.
RECITAL FLOWERS
An independent vendor will be on-site offering flowers for sale should you wish to congratulate your dancer on their performance.
Payments must be made directly to the vendor (cash, card, Apple or Google Pay).
Prices are $10 for a spring mix bouquet with carnations, poms, baby’s breath and greens, a rose illusion bouquet for $15, and a large brightly colored mixed flower arrangement for $20.
RECITAL T-SHIRTS
Recital t-shirts will be available ONLY by pre-orders through our Online Store in the account portal and will not be sold at the recitals. The cost is $20 for youth S,M,L, $25 for adult S,M,L,XL, and $27 for adult XXL, plus tax. It is a black short sleeve t-shirt with the white BFunk logo on the left chest and the "Silver Celebration" graphic seen above on the back. In the account portal, select the SHOP tab at the top of the page. The order deadline has passed.
RECITAL RECORDINGS
Recital recordings may be ordered in the Online Store through the account portal. Click SHOP at the top of the page. The cost is $40.
You will receive a link by email a few weeks after the recital and will then be able to download the recording for the show.
VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers keep our shows running smoothly by helping with costume changes, lining up dancers, and chaperoning dancers in the dressing rooms. They may be moms, dads, older siblings, or close relatives.
Volunteers are not required to purchase a recital ticket to the show they volunteer for and are able to watch their dancer's routine by stepping into the audience one number before they perform.
You may sign up by going to the REGISTER tab at the top of the parent portal and selecting VOLUNTEER from the drop-dow menu.
