COVID-19 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Masks are mandatory for all dancers and guests for the duration of the performance. Social distancing for audience members outside of the same household is encouraged. Chairs will be arranged in clusters and may be moved by you to accommodate your small group.
Disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer will be provided throughout the venue for your use.
The venue must be cleared quickly after each show to allow for cleaning. We ask for your strict adherence to these procedures in order to ensure the safety of all dancers and their families.
SHOW DATE, TIMES AND LOCATION
DRESS REHEARSALS FOR
Recreational class dress rehearsals will be held during regular class times the week of May 24-May 27. All rehearsals will be in-person at the studio and are MANDATORY for all dancers in the recital. Please have your dancer arrive in costume. If your dancer is not participating in the recital, she or he does not need to attend class this week.
TICKET SALES AND PROCEDURE
Tickets go on sale Monday, May 10th at 5:00pm and are available according to the schedule below. Each dancer receives two (2) complimentary tickets; parents must sign for tickets at the time of pickup. Any unclaimed complimentary tickets are released for purchase on May 17th.
Tickets are NOT available for sale through email or over the phone; all purchases must be made in person at the studio.
TICKET RELEASE SCHEDULE:
May 10-13 and May 17-20: Complimentary Ticket Pickup. Additional tickets will be available for purchase, only if May tuition and all other fees are paid on your account. Due to capacity restrictions, the number of extra tickets each family can purchase will differ based on the number of dancers in each show.
May 24: All unclaimed Complimentary Tickets will be released for sale.
ALL TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED BY CASH OR CREDIT CARD
General Admission: $20
Children 3 years and under (on a lap): Free
Sibling Ticket (only for B. Funk dancers who are attending a sibling's show (ex. one sibling is in the 9am show and this dancer's sibling is in the 10:30am): $10
DUE TO COVID, WE WILL NOT BE SELLING TICKETS AT THE SHOWS.
Recital costumes have been ordered and are being tried on and handed out in classes as they arrive. Some costumes will not arrive until mid-May.
Please review the costume for your child's class in the parent portal by clicking the "COSTUMES" button in the lower right corner. Be sure to mark your dancer's name in their costume before recital day . Dancers must arrive at the venue 30 minutes before recital time dressed in their costume, with hair and makeup complete.
Hair and makeup for all recreational classes is as follows:
EYES: Natural tone eye shadow (beige/browns), black eyeliner and mascara
LIPS: Red lipstick
FACE: Foundation to match skin tone and natural/light blush, if necessary
HAIR: Mid-height bun for ballet (with hair net or bun maker); mid-height ponytail (if long enough) for all other classes
SHOES: Regular class shoes for all classes except hip hop:3-10 year olds - pink ballet shoes, black mary jane buckle tap shoes, tan jazz shoes
11 & up classes - tan turners, black tie tap shoes, pink ballet shoes
Hip hop classes - sneaker colors and styles chosen by your teacher (see below - any brand is fine, but please follow the color guidelines).
LEGWEAR: Generally, ballet will require pink tights.5-7 and 8-10 year old jazz/tap will require skin-colored tights, and 11 and up jazz/contemporary will require skin-colored tights or bare legs. See below for specifics by class.
Unfortunately, we will be unable to offer professional recreational dance class pictures this year due to COVID-19, as the safety of our dancers is our number one priority. A B. Funk step and repeat backdrop will be set up so you may take a picture of your dancer at the venue if you wish.
Our recital program will be digital this year, so we apologize that will not be able to offer personal ads and shout-outs to your dancer. We are certain you will give them all the props they deserve in person!

If you choose to present your dancer with flowers to congratulate them on a job well done, please purchase them from an outside vendor prior to arriving at the recital. Due to COVID, we will NOT sell flowers on-site.
Recital t-shirts are available for purchase at the studio. Supply is limited! The cost is $20 plus tax.
DVDs/STREAMING RECITAL RECORDINGS
DVDs, Blu-Rays or streaming recordings of all recitals are available for purchase directly from our videographer. We are not able to offer live streaming of the performances. Details and order information are below.
Due to COVID restrictions, we will not need parent volunteers. Teachers will be available to help dancers with costume changes.
Recital time may be overwhelming for students, new and experienced! Please let us know if you have any questions along the way and we will be more than happy to guide you!
